Sixty Vines has 8 locations around the country, and prides itself on its “wine country inspired-cuisine paired perfectly with 60 wines on [their] sustainable tap system.” Located nearest to us in Winter Park, we are able to appreciate the fresh cuisine, though we cannot enjoy their wine pairings, legally at least. Open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, the fresh and diverse cuisine of Sixty Vines has something for everyone, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
For a starter, the bacon-wrapped dates offer a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Crispy, oven-roasted bacon envelopes the soft and sugary dates. The dish is finished with a balsamic glaze, accentuating the sweetness while providing a subtle sour complexity. A second shared plate we suggest would be the burrata. The wood-grilled ciabatta is toasted to perfection, providing for a satisfying crisp crust to juxtapose the creaminess of the burrata. The dish also features pesto and a tomato garlic confit. The combination of these flavors makes for an explosion on the tastebuds for all to enjoy.
A highlight of the menu is the pizza selection at Sixty Vines, composed of complex and unorthodox flavor combinations. The Sixty Brunch pizza, particularly deserves a shout-out. Dressed with iconic breakfast flavors, including a perfectly runny fried egg, aromatic maple syrup, and sumptuous bacon and sausage, the dish uniquely displays the comforts and tastes of a morning feast. Assisted by piquant fresno chilis and a creamy white sauce, the pizza packs a mouthwatering punch.
To finish off the meal, the basque cheesecake proves a yummy treat. This slice of decadent dessert is surely worth ordering. Basque cheesecake differs from traditional cheesecake in that it possesses an airier, lighter filling, so while this dessert is certainly indulgent, it remains light on the palette. The texture of the filling is satisfyingly rich and smooth, containing notes of caramel and vanilla. The cheesecake is topped with a syrupy cherry compote, a delicious sauce that adds a refreshing note of fruitiness. If you have room for dessert, certainly order this delight.
Our other honorable mentions have to include the orange morning bread, the avocado eggs benedict, wood-grilled bavette steak, and the beet salad.
Reservations at Sixty Vines are available but not always necessary, with the amount of guests typically depending on the day. Overall, the boldness for making unique flavor choices and the restaurant’s passion for sustainability in production and ingredients come together to create a delicious spread of options across the board.
