Plant Street Market is the iconic destination in Winter Garden. Connected to the Crooked Can Brewery, this community food hall contains 20 vendors, offering a variety of cuisines and activities for all ages. The owners are dedicated to including natural, organic food and handmade products. The ambiance includes a frequently bustling outdoor patio space and, depending on the day, live music/entertainment. Because this spot has so many options, we decided to choose 3 vendors to highlight in our review.

Our first standout vendor is a classic: Michael’s Ali. Specializing in coal-fired pizza, they offer 10 signature pies as well as the option to create your own. Cooked fresh with your order, each is finished with roasted garlic olive oil and aromatic basil. Our recommendation is their Margarita Primo pizza, a great option for vegetarians and those who consider themselves pizza purists. The tomatoes are cooked to juicy perfection and the addition of the creamy burrata creates a soft, succulent bite with a picture-perfect cheese pull. Consider requesting ricotta on top for a mild, slightly nutty addition. Other tasty choices include the sumptuous Kitchen Sink Pizza (dressed in pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, and onions) and the classic Bianca. Able to cater to diners with a variety of palettes, we highly suggest a stop at this vendor.

Another vendor spotlight is directed at Hunger Street Tacos. Originally from Winter Park, this spot brings quality tacos with handmade tortillas to Winter Garden. Some of our recommendations include the Costra de Asada Taco, Birria Machete Quesadilla, and the El Mañanero. If you aren’t accustomed to meat, their cheese or bean quesadillas are wonderful, and so are the Smashed Potatoes. This spot delivers the best Mexican food on Plant Street.

Finally, Norigami deserves its own review. This relatively new 8-person sushi bar offers a truly unique experience. It was awarded a Bib Gourmand this year for its fresh sushi at a reasonable price (omakase is priced at $70). Head chef David Tsan has created a small but mighty menu. We recommend the 10-piece omakase experience, as well as the Popcorn Hamachi. The standout nigiri are the King Salmon, Shimaji, Colossal Shrimp, and Unagi. Norigami offers upscale provisions in an unusual location, providing for a venture like no other.

Our honorable mention is the Local Butcher And Market, which provides choice cuts and pre-made sides that are certainly impressive.

All in all, Plant Street Market offers a diverse range of cuisines and ambiances. This can truly serve as a one-stop shop for some of the best offerings in Winter Garden.
